About Us
The History
The story of AMJ Concepts began when Founder, Allison Lampo, was old enough to climb behind the rolls of carpet displayed in the small showroom in Western NY, where her father began his career as a residential flooring installer. From a young age, Allison’s eyes drifted downward, evaluating quality of installation, seams and grout lines, analyzing color, pattern, and layout of the surfaces beneath her feet.
It didn’t come as a surprise to anyone when Allison decided to pursue a career in the flooring world, her father proudly commenting, “Well, kid, you’re finally a rug rat…”
Being an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Allison grew up with a first-hand understanding and appreciation of the positive impact that gaming and economic development have on Native American families and communities; therefore, flooring projects within the gaming and hospitality industries quickly became her passion and her niche.
The Beginning
Allison's journey took her to gaming and hospitality construction sites throughout the country, learning the intricacies of Axminster and patterned carpet design, manufacturing, and installation.
Allison committed herself to developing trusting partnerships and long-standing friendships within the industry. These relationships thrived as she participated in executing some of the most stunning flooring installations with exceptionally talented project teams in some of the most luxurious casino and hotel properties throughout the U.S.
Her ability to facilitate effective project planning through communication and collaboration between team members at all levels, including owners, operators, purchasing agents, general contractors, installers, manufacturers, designers, and vendors, helped ensure that spaces were returned to operational as quickly as possible, while always maintaining exceptionally high standards when it came to quality of a completed installation.
The Present
Today, as AMJ Concepts, Allison is passionately committed to supporting her clients within the gaming and hospitality industries as they design and specify finishes for their properties. AMJ Concepts represents some of the world's most luxurious manufacturers who are devoted to unique and exquisite design. In addition to floor covering, Allison recently expanded her brand to include fabric, vinyl, leather and fine art.
